Education Program

We ensure that higher rates of girls should attain Education by implementing the enables of Girl Child Education such as Hygiene and Sanitation, Scholarships, Career guidance and Scholastic Materials.


Girl completion rates of primary education went down from 30% in 2010 to 25% in 2012. According to a research conducted by

NWASEA in the communities, primary reasons are

  • poor sanitation
  • early marriage
  • chores at home
  • looking after sick relatives

To ensure higher rates of girls completing at least primary education, career guidance, school hygiene and sanitation in schools have been advocated throughout schools in communities.


  • 25 schools in Iganga District
  • 15 schools in Bugiri District
  • 19 schools in Luuka District
  • 27 schools in Mayuge District
